In collaboration with Redeye – The Photography Network, an annual printing bursary is offered to Redeye members.
To encourage the production of previously unseen personal work and to highlight the craft and processes of traditional colour hand printing,
Rob Sara offers the winner of the bursary two to three days of dedicated printing to produce a portfolio or exhibition of the photographers submission. Not only does this enable a rare insight into the print making process and allow a collaboration between photographer and printer, but the intention of the creation of the Redeye Printing Bursary is to provide an impetus, recognition and increased profile for an emerging photographer.
Appropriate only for work shot on colour negative, submissions are shortlisted and this year judged by a panel including, Petra van Houten of Redeye, Dewi Lewis, renowned photographic publisher and Stephen Snoddy, Director of The New Art Gallery, Walsall.
Each spring, details are announced on the Redeye website and printing takes place in early summer.
Membership details and benefits are found on the Redeye website.
